In the area of real estate transactional work, the office has successfully handled a wide variety of contractual arrangements on behalf of clients in their purchase, development, construction, investment, ownership, management and/or sale of residential and commercial properties or developments.

Whether the matter involved several thousand dollars or multi-million dollar transactions, our office has been there to offer the legal expertise necessary to guide and assist our clients in the complex field of real estate law.

In addition to our transactional assistance, the office has handled a multitude of real estate litigation cases before the Courts throughout the State of California, as well as in mediation, arbitration, and before administrative agencies. These litigation matters have involved a variety of issues and disputes arising from all forms of real estate transactions, including: breach of real estate contracts, specific performance, real estate fraud, real estate broker liability, title insurance liability, eminent domain, and inverse condemnation.

Business Law

Our business law practice, offers the complimentary practices of transactional as well as litigation services. On the transactional side, our office has assisted clients in the formation and day-to-day operations of business entities of all varieties. These include limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, general and limited partnerships, corporations, non-profit corporations, as well as the assisting of sole proprietors. Transactional services provided have also included the purchase and/or sale of all or a portion of a business entity or its assets, including those of a professional practice.

On the litigation side, the law office of Mikel D. Bryan, P.C. has defended clients and/or engaged in prosecution for their defense, in cases arising out of the formation, operations and/or dissolution of all forms of entity disputes, including voluntary and involuntary corporate dissolution matters, general and limited partnership disputes and dissolutions, limited liability entity disputes and dissolutions, and those relating to homeowner associations. As with all our litigation services, our aim is to provide our clients with the legal advise, experience and expertise to assist them in making a business decision that best serves to achieve or protect their individual interests.

Construction Services

For over thirty years, the law office of Mikel D. Bryan, P.C. has represented owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, materialmen and suppliers in the transaction and litigation aspects of the construction industry.

On the transaction side, the office has assisted its clients in the preparation, review and implementation of contractual relationships, including the acquisition, development and sale of real property construction projects. This service includes assisting contractors, materialmen, and suppliers in complying with the many nuances associated with public and private construction contracts/works, the mechanic's lien law, as well as home improvement contract specifications, so as to avoid the harsh penalties which may result from non-compliance. For several years, Mr. Bryan, taught law for contractors at Santa Rosa Junior College until the course was discontinued by the school.

On the litigation side, law office of Mikel D. Bryan, P.C. has represented owners, developers, contractors, materialmen and suppliers, as well as their insurance carriers, in prosecution for their defense and/or defense of construction defect, mechanic's lien claims, breach of contract actions, and strict liability cases arising from the construction or sale of a single family residence, commercial property, as well as those involving mass produced homes. Our office has also litigated numerous cases involving public construction projects on behalf of contractors, subcontractors and materialmen.

Mediation

The office of Mikel D. Bryan, P.C. has also been providing mediation services to individuals, businesses, and the court system to assist participants in reaching a mutually acceptable resolution of their dispute. Utilizing appropriate skills and techniques, our office will assist the parties in opening and/or improving the lines of communication between the parties, with the goal of providing an avenue by thich the parties themselves can formulate a mutually agreeable resolution of their differences.
